What began as a simple birthday post celebrating Fancy’s daughter’s 8th birthday quickly blossomed into something much bigger—one cake order turned into another, and the vision was born. Since then, we’ve proudly satisfied sweet tooths across North Carolina through local vendor shows, weddings, competitions, and coffee shops. Our journey is a testament to the power of community, tradition, and a shared love of exceptional baked goods.

Shonda Tuck-Strickland is the proud owner and cake artist behind Fancy & Frosted Cakery llc, a local bakery known for its exquisite desserts. Her passion for baking began at an early age, growing up in a family full of bakers. Shonda was particularly influenced by her mother, "Ms. Lynda," with whom she shared countless hours in the kitchen. It was there, alongside her mom and grandmother, that Shonda developed her love for creating beautiful and delicious treats. Today, she credits much of her baking expertise to her mom’s guidance and inspiration. Through Fancy & Frosted, Shonda has built a brand that delights clients with mouthwatering desserts and stunning cake designs. Whether she’s showcasing her creations at vendor markets or competing in baking contests, Shonda is always eager to share her work and connect with others. She is the proud recipient of the 2024 Dessert Wars People’s Choice 2nd place award and is also a 2024 Dessert Wars National Contestant.
